The is repaint of A2A's WOP III P-47D representing "Big Squaw", a P-47D-20-RE flown by Lt. John H. "Jack" Payne, Jr. of the 333th FS, 318th FG, Saipan, 1943. I found Jack Payne's Piper Cub and did a repaint of that while searching for this, the first P-47D-20-RE flown by Jack Payne after leaving Hawaii with the Cactus Air Force for Saipan. Many thanks to Martin Catney for the fantastic paint kit for A2A Simulations likewise excellent WoP III P-47 D.
