Caravelle

SOH-CM-2025
Just watched the recent Dev Livestream from MS and Asobo. Did I hear Jorg correctly that they are making a Caravelle? Seemed like it was going to be a default a/c for MSFS 2024 but he's not happy with it so it will not appear until next year?

I saw that, I think its going to be Famous Flyer #11. I think he was hoping it would be out in time for the Paris Olympics, just as they originally wanted the 707 (Famous Flyer #10) to be out for July 4th week, but schedules slipped.

Ohhh dear. I've come to the conclusion that anything labelled Famous Flyer or Local Legend is MSFS Marketplace code for Bargain Bin. Caveat Emptor.

The Caravelle is being done by Aeroplane Heaven.

There are plenty of awesome Famous Flyers and Local Legends. And some duds.

Caravelle won’t be Fenix/PMDG-level. But I bet it’ll deliver an interesting flying experience for historical aircraft fans for a mere $10-15.

There are a lot of things that could whet ones appetite for this. Here are ten of them:

And if-and-when it gets released, #7 is a great way to test the fidelity of the flight model - go gliding :D

I want to see that included! Talk about a unique airliner feature.

Guessing we won’t see much in the way of add-ons till they get ‘24 past alpha-level functionality.

Been a few misses with a Caravelle being developed. I recall one being done back in the FS9/X days by one of the now gone Italian Development houses, then there was a freeware type that had no VC. Then the AH/JF model which has been barely on the radar for several years now. I wish it was getting the full treatment from JF after really enjoying their superb Fokker 28 model. Also hope the Saberliner gets redone.
