• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Christmas time ... A time to be careful, for sure!

As some of you well know, some of us have been known to have had
brushes with the authorities on our way home from the odd social
session over the years.

Well, I have done something about it:

A couple of nights ago I was out for a few drinks with some pals and
had a few too many whiskeys as well as beers and some rather nice
claret; but knowing full well I may have been slightly over the limit,
I did something I've never done before - I took a bus home.

I arrived back safely and without incident which was a real surprise,
since I had never driven a bus before and have no idea where I got this
one.

Heh,heh....NC

heh heh good one
as they say...don't drink and drive...you might spill your drink

or the other important life lesson...'spent most of me money on popcorn and beer...the rest I just waste':ernae:

Merry Christmas Chief

A good reminder, NC. 99 times out of a 100 you could drive with a few too many under your belt and arrive home safe and sound. The 100th time and you could ruin your life and maybe somebody else's too. Even if you just get pulled over it'll cost you a fortune and a lot of hassle for 2-3 years after.
