• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

"Create a Flight" not working

Help ! following a replacement graphics card FS2004 has been behaving strangely - no matter what flight I create I always find myself at Lakatamia in Cyprus in a default Robinson Helicopter. I only appear to be able to break out of this if I load a specific saved flight. I've tried reinstalling and deleting the FS config file and letting it rebuild, all to no avail. I have one other instance of FS2004 loaded with classic scenery and get the same issue there - any ideas ?

Have you tried to delete the fs9.cfg file in your (hidden) application date files?

Very strange as the default ac and flight in Fs9 is the C172 at Seattle-Tacoma.

Again delete the Fs9.cfg file and before restarting the sim go into your Documents, or where the FS9 flight files are kept, and delete the Previous FLT and Previous WX files. When you re-start the sim, it will come up saying that it can't find previous etc and will load the stock flight (which should be as above). This may re-set the sim, so you can then select what and where you want.

Is the other install Silver or Golden Wings by any chance? If so you need to delete the Previous flight files from there.

oh, and what OS are you on?
