If you were watching the “Trackside” show on Speed last evening, you may have seen Jack Roush almost “let the cat out of the bag”, or the hat, as it were, about Danica Patrick and the big heavy cars. He was asked about it since evidently Roush and Patrick had spoken of it at some time in the past. Jack said the talks didn’t go anywhere back then because he wanted to run her in the Nationwide series first, and she wanted to go straight to the cup series. Then he started to say something like “but things have…” and then he stopped himself and said the plan “would be” to run a nationwide season first, with a few cup events… I bet Dale Jr. would love the idea, because then the media spotlight would move off him… It was an interesting exchange.
