• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

Out of the blue FS9 is not working right. Tried some things but no luck. Going to do un-install and re-install. How in the world do you get rid of that C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Application Data\Microsoft\FS9\fs9.cfg ???--------hidden file!!!
Are the upper and lower case letters right?
User name, is that what I enter? Or is that some name I have but have no idea what it is or how to find it.
Do I need to tell this machine that it's ok to open it?
Bet you all get tired of being asked this question. :banghead:
Thanks.
Bob

"user name" means simply - your username - what you log into the computer with.
The path you mentioned is only valid for Vista... if you have XP, the file is elsewhere...

Hi Bob,

For reference FS9.cfg is also found in the same location as above in WinXP. If you can't "see" hidden files go to Explorer, Tools, Folder Options, View and select the Show hidden files option (in WinXP)
