• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Daytona testing on now

Thanks for the HU Terry, still missed the test today. Will try and catch it on Friday. From what I've read about the test today, is that they are still running in tandem, which is no fun to watch. But, hopefully, they will get back to single car racing.
 
NASCAR will be dumbing them down soon, just in initial tests the top 6 cars topped 200 mph in tandem. They haven't even begun tweaking yet!
 
new rules for friday..15/16ths inch plate...smaller grille..one more ive forgotten....kyle busch hit 202.something thursday with laganos help,,,nascar says the these new changes will make the cars go faster..in an attempt to break up the two car tandem ( that statement seems redundant)

yesterday..after mark martin spun clint boyer,,mark wasnt happy..basically said that the 500 will be a wreckfest...then later kasey kahne pretty much said the same thing
 
Whether or not there is a wreck fest is purely up to the drivers. If they can restrain themselves from committing stupid acts or driving beyond their ability it will be a clean race.

'scuse me?....restain themselves from committing stupid acts?.....cooooooooome on...these are race car drivers......lol...:mixedsmi:...burton has hit the wall,,dale jrs got loose bad...harvick came close to a wreck...BIG pack right now...i love it myself....i never drove on anything bigger than a mile...but my personal belief..as a driver..i want to be in a pack...not out there in two car break aways...to me if there were to be a crash...it may take out more cars..but it wont really be as big of a single hit ( in most cases)....seen some BIG hits in multpule car crashes though
