I know this is not a new release but I've just found it :woot:

I must have been hiding in the boonies somewhere to have missed this elegant airliner. :faint:

Thanks Jens for another masterpiece :applause: :applause:

Pete.

I have had the Albatross since it was released. I love flying the big thing.

I always thought it was an elegant airliner, but two things combined to make it a commercial failure. It was made of wood when metal was the material of choice for modern airliners and the outbreak of the war made commercial airline travel difficult.

The big positive was the method of construction gave DeHavilland experience in building the moulded, sandwich construction that the fabulous Mosquito was built with.
