Hallo friends,
who does anymore rember the Douglas DC 3 Uiver?
I had her in my reserve hangar and had some surprises with.
The autopilot I installed (in the panel and in the aircraft.cfg) does not accept to make the plane climb to the
desired altitude.
Is this problem known?
Is the a possibility to change that?
Sadly the site of the designers, nore the site for support seem no longer avaible.
Best regards

Michael,

Here is a post regarding the DC-2 Uiver regarding it's adaptation to MSFS. While not what you are looking for in particular, there does appear to be contact information about halfway down the thread with the person that developed it. Give it a shot.

Thank you for your help with my project earlier.

Sorry forgot the link;

Yes of course, DC-2 and not DC-3.
what is courious that when Have reached slowly for ex ample 2500 ft and the plane reached this altitude the plane begans to go down to 2100ft
and than rebegins to climb slowly to 2500ft. so It constantly oscilate with 100 ft/min between 2500 and 2100ft altitude
I have looked to all the ap settings in the aircraft.cfg and the airfile set the default climb speed to 400ft/min. The plane simply ignore it.
On the otherhand when I try an aproach and landing with the ap it works as it schould.
Thank you BellCobraIV, but on my pc I get only the beginning of the page - can do nothing to see the rest of the topic
Best regards
Michael

I have it.
A pity that the older DC-1 was never done. Another special DC-3 would be the tri-motor version, as well as the glider version.

Hi Robin,
how do you fly her?
only "maually? or do you use an autopilot?
If I rember well the MAAM DC-3 exists as glider and as floatplane-
An interesting version will be also the turboprob version,There exists one. The Basler DC-3.
But the author is not interested in a FS2004 version. Also might be interesting was a bomber version drivated from the DC-3 but with another fuselage. Not to forget the russian license build Lisonov Lo-2 (hallo Donald, as I know, the russians never payed the royalities they had to pay for the license)
But for the moment I am more interested to find a solution why the DC-2 do not accept to fly at the desired altitude

I have not flown her lately, but I flew manually. So I cannot help with the autopilot.
The MAAM DC-3 also came as a floatplane, but not as a glider.
I found a Lisonov at that Russian site, & it is not modified from a DC-3.
Here in South Africa, we still have a few DC-3's that have been modified with turboprops.

Regards
Robin

Salut Bernard,
