Duxford scenery update

I've been updating Duxford (again)

Custom built Land Warfare hall, American Hanger and the new Airspace hanger.
Other hangers & buildings are a mixture of Ted Andrews RAF libraries and default objects. (details in the readme as to which libraries are required)

Designed for GenX, but should work with the default scenery.

This is still a work-in-progress, but I'm going to release it as it stands so far :)

Good news Dave, thank you. Looking forward to further additions ;)

Second that :applause::applause::applause:.

I have been there like....OFTEN! :jump:

Always loke (combination between love and like) the place. About 10 years ago, while studying at Chicksands the school provided us (the students) with special access to the Land Warfare Hall. They actually gave us the masters-keys to the Soviet/Russian vehicles, to look inside and out. Back then they had a cut-open SS-1C SCUD-B missile on a trailer that had to be moved. We helped them moving it. In grattitude the IWM crew awarded us with a special tour in the aircraft restauration section as well.

Yup, Duxford.......always a nice place to go back to :applause:

What great timing Dave! I just got GenX scenery, Vol. 2, and had been hoping that a detailed Duxford scenery, compatible with GenX, would be coming out in the not so distant future, but I had no idea how soon that wish would come true - and everything looks spot on!

Duxford has always been my favorite warbird base in FS9, and it looks like it will be again in FSX...time to do some Mustang acro... :)

Great stuff.
Keep on with this excellent work. :ernae:
Many thanks.

Rod.

Yes pips just fine, such notices re: designed for tend to only apply as a warning to those using other photo scenery which may be slight offset, a non-isue with the default stuff :ernae:

Hi,
This is my first post on this forum. As I live only 10 miles from Duxford and love the place, I can only thank DaveWG for this nice scenery, especially as I've just purchased the amazing 'The Flying Cat (alina :) )' from Aerosoft (one of these I saw recently at Duxford!).

Only problem I have is the 'Ted Andrews' files required in the 'readme' are not available from Avsim anymore since their disaster. Anyone know where these can be found?

raf_small_builings_library.zip
raf_domestic_buildings_library.zip
raf_operational_buildings_library.zip
tedsraftextures.zip
raf_hangers_library.zip

Thanks

Alan

Hi Alan,
I just searched "'Ted Andrews" at flightsim.com and there's a lot of his stuff there. Just download the FsX versions and you should be good to go.

Cheers,

Roger.

Hi Alan,

I think the file names on flightsim.com are

rafsmbld.zip - small buildings
rafdombl.zip - domestic buildings
rafopbld.zip - operational buildings
tedsraft.zip - textures
rafhanli.zip - hangers
