• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

ETO spawn issue - access denied??

Installed ETO and followed directions to the letter. When I tried the campaign and clicked on the spawns for the Phony war I got access denied and the same for every other spawn. I must be doing something wrongg. Clean install and everything.

What operating system?

If it's Vista make sure you are running as administrator. Check your compatibility mode and make sure it's XP.

If not Vista make sure your user account has admin privileges.

tried but have question about administrator in Vista

Tried running as administrator - it no longer gives me the access denied but the sim goes back to desktop when I warp after takeoff. I first clicked on the correct spawn, then the campaign, then into CFS3 into the correct campaign there (Phony War). Took off, warped and then dropped back into desktop.

Did you check the compatibility setting? Do a properties on the CFS3 icon go to compatibility and make sure "run this program in compatibility mode for" is checked and that "Windows XP" is selected in the dialog box.

Below that there should be a box "run this program as an administrator" Make sure it is checked.
