Well you'd think a Williams would perform at Interlagos, but you'd expect it to be Barrichello!
Where'd Nico pull that one out from?
Hamilton did well too, really showing up his resting-on-his-laurels Present World Champion team-mate.
Button needs a short, sharp shock... perhaps too late already.

Weather as always will play a part here...good chance of the Red Bulls tangling, from those grid positions.
On which topic, Webber just did himself no particular good with that "The team doesn't love me enough" speech to the media.
Perhaps the pressure is getting to him, his own-goal DNF in Korea may have cost him this year's title.

Looks like the Driver's Championship will go down to the wire at Abu Dhabi.
I think Alonso will arrive there, still in the lead.

The Hulk certainly did a number on the Usual Suspects!
I'll take him as a very promotable young 'German' driver over Little Sebastian any day.
:ernae:
I doubt the car will do the business on race day however.
As for RBR, I guess Webber is just speaking the truth, Marko certainly is a Vettel booster, obviously the usual reward for being a loyal team member is as non-existent at RBR as everywhere else.
If Mark doesn't win the brass ring I'll be happy to see Alonso take it, we need 'Men' as champions, not little boys.
Compared to the MotoGP friendly relations in the MotoGP paddock (despite the odd curt word) EffWun is as pleasant as a case of Herpes.

Back on standard time and the race coverage starts at 10:30 EST, hope it's raining.

Where did Nico find that lap? He was a full second plus ahead of the Red Bulls. Dang!

Caz

A bit processional, I felt...went into Ultra-Fast-Forward for all but 10 of the 71 laps.
Poor Felipe Massa, home crowd must be whispering behind their hands...Ferrari have a tiny chance of ending second in the Constructor's Championship, but not at this rate.
But Adrian Newey is a winner, yet again!
He is a real race addict: Apart from designing dozens of race-winners, he is a racing driver, and was technical advisor on GT5 for Playstation.

If the Abu Dhabi podium looks like this one, Vettel and Webber share second place!
I haven't checked, but I think Webber takes it on best Other Placings.
He might be able to advise Seb where to put that victorious little index finger he keeps waving about after each race victory...

Yep, too bad Williams seem to be considering dumping Hulkenberg for mediocre talent Pastor Maldonado (Won a GP2 title in his fourth season..) and his Venezuelan oil money...

All he has to do in Abu Dhabi (That almost makes it sound easy!) is to follow the two RBR cars and finish third for his third title..

Nope - a second guarantees him the title.
But if Webber wins, and Vettel is second, Webber takes it by 2 points.

If Vettel wins, Webber 2nd, Alonso wins!

If Vettel wins, Webber 2nd, Alonso DNF... Vettel wins!

Fascinating...what will Red Bull do on the day, strict team orders maybe?

You are correct of course; if Vettel wins Alonso can finish third, if Webber wins Alonso has to finish second. Christian Horner commented today that there will be no team orders, even if that means they will not win the drivers' title. Meanwhile Dr. Helmut Marko has a different opinion: http://www.worldcarfans.com/110110929436/red-bull-tactics-now-turn-to-drivers-title-victory--marko

But of course he's only an advisor for RBR.
The only way RBR can win a title (Unless Alonso fails to finish) is to let Webber win and Vettel finish second.. I'll bet they'll be sick for a while if Alonso wins the title with the seven points or less that he got as a present from Massa in Germany!

Quite right, Ferry...now you have to imagine the scene, deep in a bunker somewhere in Austria:
HM: Now Mark, listen carefully...at your pit stop, you will discover there is a small problem with the front left wheel nut as they change the tyre. This will release you into the path of Alonso. Mark...concentrate now. It is very important that you drive a little slowly at this point, so that the Ferrari will be tempted to pass. Now the next thing may seem a little difficult at first to understand, but it is very important: you must make sure that the Ferrari crashes out of the race as it comes by. And even more important, it must look exactly like a "racing incident". Do not worry if you also take a little damage, we will look after you later, trust me!
MW: But..but...look what happened to Flavio Briatore after he engineered that crash in Singapore last year!
HM: And your point is...?

I believe there will be 'advice' along the lines of Webber first, Vettel second and 'rear gunner' to keep Alonso in third.
Of course this is speculation on my part but with RBR wrapping up the 'Constructors' in Brazil with both drivers following Christian Horner's 'advice' and not arguing over a win it would be highly probable that Horner will have come down on Webber for the title.
Then again, this IS Effwun'.
