Facility creation question

Pat Pattle

SOH-CM-2025
Before I tear out what little of my hair remains, can anyone help with this please?

After placing buildings into a gmax facility 'model', when exported to an .xml, one particular building is shown at 90 degrees where in fact it's positioned at all angles.
I do seem to remember having this years ago but I can't think what it could be!

Any ideas please? I'm guessing it's an issue with that hut model?

I am not exactly sure what which hut in the top-down screenie gives you trouble but if a model is facing the wrong way ingame while being correct in gmax, it's probably the game model's pivot point. If you have access to the source model, you can correct this. But keep in mind that in all other ingame instances it will change too, forcing you to redo all the facilities that contains this model...

Another idea might be to open that particular game model in the CFS3 model viewer, determine what the '0' degrees heading of the ingame model is and use that for your facility file in gmax. It might look 'wrong' while doing you gmax facility work but once exported, things will show correctly ingame.

BTW, I can only find "ACC_hut_wooden" in ETO, not one with suffix "_l", and your last entry is missing the underscores in the name of the model.

Not to mention that the first three entries after ACC_Hangar_Bellman, are all -90 at the end of their string whereas everything after those three entries don't have the - in from of the 90.00. (Word of caution, I have no idea.)

That's the crux of it. Even though the huts are placed at varying degrees of orientation in the model, they all come out at 90 degrees in the facility file.
