There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.
If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Um, yeah. . . we tend to take some things for granted, don't we . . . ?
I guess if you're a flight simmer in South Africa you need to keep a pigeon with a flash drive harness handy for those big payware and scenery packages. 
Back when railroad passenger service was still available nationwide and the Post Office wasn't on life support, you could actually have two (sometimes three) exchanges of letters a week between you and friends in other cities. Clerks in Railway Post Office cars sorted mail enroute so it sometimes took less than 24 hours for a letter to get to its destination. Seeing as how some folks now go for days without checking their e-mail, have we really come that far? :d

I worked in Southern Africa for three years 1993~96,...
I lived like a Queen, we have a chauffer, cook, laundryman, houseman, guard at night.
I didn't do my laundry (except for my personal stuff - which i hand wash -let's not talk about it!), i didn't do the dishes, i didn't cook, I ddn't clean my house. I did grocery and market shopping though.
We didn't have cable, but we have satellite. We did have internet, most of the time servers are down. Of course it was slow-turtle slow!
