First time in ten years

Congrats, a 1st for me this weekend as I head over to Laguna Seca raceway here in the US for 2 wheel action. I did take advantage of formerly living down the road from COTA in Austin,TX for the USGP.

Should be entertaining even in the present day configuration.
I made it to Ricard back in the 500cc MotoGP era and watched one of the best races of that time, Gardner, Sarron, Roberts and Eddie Lawson (IIRC) going at it like a knife fight in a phone box!
Epic circuit.
Have a great weekend!
:encouragement:

Man...Circuit Paul Ricard is breathtakingly beautiful when seen from above!

When seen from the track side as well. :encouragement:

I took advantage of practice sessions to experiment some of the best point of views. Here are some of the shots I took (I have 680 more).

The Chicane (best place for engine sound) :

And finally Beausset Curve, from where I watched the race:

There were some interesting support races as well.

This #43 Red Bull Ferrari 430 was driven by Red Bull's F1 car designer Adrian Newey. During the second race, he hit the Peugeot 908 while being lapped, sending both cars spinning around. :p87:

I'm still not enthusiastic about the track (A few test runs in AC and I agree with the teams that they should remove the second chicane.) but it looks like you have a fun weekend! :encouragement:
