Flightsimlabs put a virus in their game to harvest passwords

This came up on my radar on Youtube and my Youtube is mostly game consoles and music.... Not the time to landing on the radar of consoles gamers with the lootbox rage going on...

Outstanding information in that video, HyFlyer. The problem is far worse than I'd thought. Time marks 5:05 to 7:05 --> very sobering. Thank you kindly.

I watched Frooglesim on Sunday and Pete's take on this was he would never buy product from them again.

The logger/spyware they used to harvest the pirate's passwords is indeed breaking the law. While it allegedly doesn't target everyone and only affects the specific person's computer, it is most probably unlawful -evidence gathered illegaly don't stand in (most of) the courts.

While I disagree with this practice, we all know that FSL has spent huge sums of money to develop an exquisite product as well as that it sometimes takes a thief to catch a thief.

HyFlyer video covered just about everthing I would have to say or add to this.

I'm with Dangerousdave26 in thinking and hoping that Flightsim Lab is :gameoff:

Guess who's back doing stupid sh!t. Small language warning for the video just in case. :encouragement:

Another case of "much ado about nothing" IMHO. The 'cmdhost.exe' file consists of four lines of C# code that simply provide a way for their eSellerate program to work with both 32bit and 64bit programs. :173go1:
