Focke Wulf 190 D-FWAA first public flight

It's a full-scale Flug Werk replica, but it is probably the nicest/closest to original example flying. Like most of the Flug Werk replicas, it is powered by a Russian ASh-82 engine, though they have been planning for a couple years now to fit it with a BMW 801, as the originals used. Unlike most of the others flying, this one also has a lot of Focke-Wulf internal systems (control actuators, wiring, etc.) and a very stock/original looking cockpit.
At present there are ten airworthy/active Flug Werk replica Fw 190s in the world (one in Australia, two in Germany, one in New Zealand, one in Sweden, and five in the US). Eight are powered by the ASh-82 engine, and two are powered with an R-2800.
With the shuttering of the Flying Heritage & Combat Armor Museum, unfortunately there are no original Fw 190s currently flying. However, the Collings Foundation's original Fw 190F, White 1, should be completed/flying this year, and is powered by an original BMW 801 (I'm hoping it will be at Oshkosh). It has been under restoration at GossHawk Unlimited in Arizona for several years.
There is an Allison-powered Flug Werk Fw 190D, owned by Thomas Fausel and Todd Grothause in Fort Meyers, Florida, which was very close to flying at the start of 2021, but I have not heard anything about it recently. It doesn't look terribly authentic, especially from the interior, but it will still be neat to see flying.
Jerry Yagen/Military Aviation Museum of Virginia Beach, Virginia, also has a Flug Werk produced full-scale replica Fw 190D "Dora" which, when originally built, was constructed with an Allison engine as well. Although it did perform taxi runs when owned by Tom Blair in Florida, quite some years ago, it has never been flown, and since being acquired by Yagen the plan has been to redo the aircraft and have it fitted with an actual Jumo 213 engine. Over the past few years a Jumo 213 has been in the process of being overhauled for it, with the work being done by Mike Nixon in California. Although hush hush, Late this past year the aircraft was disassembled and shipped to Germany where the work will be undertaken at MeierMotors to rebuild it and install the Jumo 213.
The Vormezeele warbird family in Belgium also owns a Flug Werk Fw 190D, which there has also been a plan for quite some years now to complete it with a Jumo 213.

My favorite Luftwaffe fighter ! Enjoyed the video very much. Never seen one in person. Would love to , maybe one day... Regards,Scott
