• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Formula 1 to introduce grid kids

Bloody Political Correctness gone rampant!
The 'Grid Girls' get paid for doing the job, most (if not all) are professional models and often use the 'exposure' as a means of furthering their careers!
'Grid Kids' :banghead:........how long before the usual muppets get on 'Twatter' and 'Farcebook' demanding Liberty cease exploiting children.

Does this equate F1 with Darts???????
"F1's announcement follows a similar move by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC), who have ended the practice of using walk-on girls to accompany players with immediate effect".
How appropriate!

Just a matter of time :biggrin-new:. The discussion about advertising on cars for Energy drinks has already started, alcohol and cigarettes are already (partly) banned.

Huub

At this rate. how long before we are not permitted to actually glance at a person of an opposite gender? :dizzy: The world is going mad

Actually I think it is a good idea to get young kids close to their heroes. Just like they do in soccer.

Ferry, do you think the 'kids' will get anything more than a passing glance, if that?
Their heroes will be gearing up for the race and focused on their tasks, hardly a friendly environment.
Cricket, Soccer, Rugby and Australian Rules Football (REAL football), for example, go out of their way to include young people in the pre and post game activity, definitely a good idea.

Come to think of it, certain drivers are 'Grid Kids'! :biggrin-new:
