FPS Issues after Latest Update

I have concluded after testing and reading user comments that ASOBO has again broken FS2020 with regards to FPS performance. I have gotten a steady 35 to 40FPS from day one with a couple of minor exceptions but now, on certain maps (even low density areas with little addon scenery), I am seeing intermittent severe FPS drops and jumping slide show like flow. SMH! They fixe one issue, create dozens more. They are obviously not doing proper beta testing on this platform and with my still new high end system, it was and should still be running the same as it was. We'll see if they fix it any time soon (and what else gets broken then).

I'm afraid it is the current business model of M$: users are beta testers.

It's happening with their operating systems, their office software and their cloud applications.

Welcome to the 21st century!

I have the same problem since the last update, and it depends on where you fly. There are longitude/latitude "pockets" where if you get inside them the performance drops dramatically, and as soon as you get out of those pockets the performance goes back to normal again. And it is the same areas every time. I really wish it were possible for us to be able to revert back to the previous version.

The problem there John, although it would be nice, is that so much of the sim depends on on-line data. If a change is made and then somebody reverts to a previous build, all sorts of mayhem may ensue. We are seeing a lot of stutter and frame-drop over England at the moment. For us, we can live with the stutters and some of the bugs but trying to build for this thing when they keep moving the goalposts is perhaps the most annoying aspect.

That is exactly what I am experiencing. Driving me nuts. Something got screwed up, hard to say what.

Right now I'd settle for a few stutters and dropping a few frames if I could get past the 'Click any key to proceed' window!'
Might have to settle for a refund.
Bloody MS!

Hmmmph! 🤨 I wish I could actually use it. Reinstalled due to constant CTDs and now it won't reinstall at all. Won't fully download and just stops.

No soup for you!! ;-) Sorry couldn't help it. lol I have my own frustrations going on, also. I think all the "serious" simmers do.
