    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Frank Luke's SPAD XIII

A few months ago, someone had asked me to post a few close up screenies of the Frank Luke SPAD in my avatar, so they could do a skin repaint on another model. Due to a severe attack of brain fade, I had forgotten to get it done. So, in the spirit of "better late than never",
here a few shots. In doing my skin of Luke's plane, I believe I had found that the Champlin Fighter Museum in AZ had a XIII painted in Luke's motif, and I had also looked at some examples on modeling sights. As with most WWI color interpretations, you will have to use some "best guess" artistic license to do your own skin, but that is the fun of doing repaints on the WWI war birds. Good luck with your skin, and sorry for the delay.
