U.S. Navy Update

I know I had a thread up here last May about the T-44C's being used now in place of the T-44A's at TVW-4 Navy Corpus Christi Multi-engine training but for the life of me it's disappeared. Anyway, I'm going to piggy-back it here since it actually is based on this repaint and also Russ Smith's repaint posted at Avsim, Flyaway sim etc.
Russ gives credit to "Marty" Feron for the original he modded for his VT-31 "Wise Owls" repaint of 160844 in 2005 at KNGB.

I got back interested in flying the T-44 to find out that the Navy is using a new version from Ratheon-Beechcraft and Collins using Collins Proline 21 glass cockpit instrumentation. In order to have the Collins Prolines 21 instruments and cockpit though you have to have Carenado's C90B GTX payware aircraft. No problem. I've got it in my hanger.

The new C90 GTX though has a different model with changes from the C90B which the T-44A was based on. Well, the shorter version of this is the last two days work changing and adapting textures from the original repaints to the new model. I am pleased to say though that it was accomplished. I also changed the pilots from the civilian ATP pilot white shirt/epaulets to U.S.N pilots in CWU-27 sage green NOMEX flight suits. Here a few screenshots I took last night. A great big thanks to both Marty and Russ for all their work on the repaints that I "copied and pasted" without which I would not have been able to do this.:encouragement:

The screenshots are taken on the MAIW NAS Chorpus Christi Base and the T-44's in the background are ai. I found in FSX-A to have no problem with the MAIW bases after following their hints for FSX.

If you compare the real T-44C photos you will notice that they do not have winglets like mine does but that is not a workaround because the Proline cockpit is in the model of the GTX and can't be transferred to the C90B unfortunately so I choose to like with it to have the VC glass cockpit. I've downloaded all the training from CNATRA.mil and will get to "hitting the books" before my first "checkflight". Catch ya allllll later.

Nice job and I also have the GTX version C90. Several 'Tube vids on T-44C procedures if you didn't already find them. Kind of a PL 21 lite verison with only the 2 PFDs and no center MFD. Thanks for making the model crews get in the proper uniform!

I know what you mean about no center MFD, I wish I knew how to remedy but I'm not there yet modding VC's just 2D panel addons. Thank you for the atta boys on the repaint. I found the utube videos a few months ago when I did this the first time but then when my old computer crashed I lost more files than I thought that I had backed up and the T-44C textures was one of them.
