FSX Mitsubishi F1M2 Zerokan_v1

SgtT

SOH-CM-2024
I just came across a FSX Mitsubishi F1M2 Zerokan over at flightsim.com. It looks pretty interesting.

Anyone try it yet?

T.

Thanks for the HU!

The model is done by the same developer who did the Mitsubishi J8M1 Shusui and Grumman XF10F-1 Jaguar. Both are great models as well.

Cheers,
Huub

Its a stunning model and fits perfect in Roger-Wilco-66's great 1943 Solomons scenery!

He really did a nice job on the textures, especially the bare metal.
As well as the airplane I really like the aircrew guys. If I knew how to do it I'd put them in all my Japanese Navy planes. :)

I tried it in P3D 4.5 this morning and it works great except it needs a sound as its aliased to the racer p51

I'm so so happy with it, I've had something for this bird ever since I first saw it decades ago in games like IL-2; It's all I ever expected, beautiful rendition with a beautiful story behind it, can't wait to fly it around the Solomons!!

All I'm left with is changing the sound to a radial, maybe if i could get my hands on a A6M2 addon...

You could alias it to the default DHC2 Beaver. Although there is still a significant difference between the engines.
But you will immediately have the "water sounds".

Yes, Uenoshing! He drew my attention when I was looking for a Jaguar about a decade ago. (It took FOREVER for it to finally come out but he seems to not release anything until it's really ready to go and watching his thread the XF-10 gave him plenty of fits, so he pecked away at it and did "easier" stuff until it was done.) His theme seems to be prototypes or unrealized aircraft. (His XF-91 Thunderceptor and XF-103 Thunderwarrior are stunning!! His Rockwell XFV-12A has the best behaved transition between horizontal and vertical flight I've experienced in FSX!) Was the actual F1M2 a prototype (or X-plane if you will)? If not I think it would be his first production style plane! (And like his J8M1 it flew in under the radar when I wasn't looking!!)

Thank you Uenoshing for payware-quality Japanese amphibian aircraft!

Yes Salomon Islands is a logical scenery to try this bird... I'm using the one by Emerald Scenry Design. Some payware airports are now freeware, like Kaghau, depicted here...

Hello,
-Excellent modeling, as usual at this creator!
-But, how can we get that the rear machine gunner is moving towards the back and that his machine gun points up, as seen in the catches?
I can't find any order for this purpose
!Thank you for your help!

If someone could tell me where I can find the gear lever so I can get rid of the trolley, that would be marvelous :)

For canopy: CTRL E; For gunner: CTRL E 2; For trolley: Gear key (usually G) or white lever marked "G" below:

For Wing Folding lever, keep engine running!

There's an update at FlightSim, released yesterday...

Beautiful model, but whatever I try, even following U' s instructions, no way to get rid of the trolley.

I can only echo that the trolley is animated by the g (gear) key. The only reason I can imagine why this isn't working for you, is that your gear key is not mapped to the "G".

So my advice is to check this and perhaps map it to another key and see whether that is working.

Huub

Hi Huub,

If flightsim-life was THAT simple..... No, the G-key works ok, with keyboard or joystick. And I have the model installed on a desktop-PC and a laptop-PC (both WinX) and both have the same problem: the trolley is fixed and won't come off.

But thanks anyway for suggestions,

Cheers,

Erik.

Hi Huub, did a new download (for the plane & the update), did a complete new install and the problems are still the same. Then did an install on my old Win7 laptop and everything was working fine. So the problem is in my 2 WinX PC's, sometimes my WinX-systems don' t match well with some flightsim-models, like the RazBam F-102 and The MilViz Huey. Fortunately I have enough to fly with :a1310:.

Again, thanks for help.
Erik.
