• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category FSX Military skins - Cold War

Description: This repaint represents QF-86F-40 sn576404 of the US Navy Pacific Missile Test Center, at NAS Point Mugu, California. It was one of about 50 purchased from Japan as a former JASDF aircraft. This QF-86 was operated in the mid to late 1980s for radar research and full size target test drone. It is recognized that the Milviz F-86F is a dash 30 while the QF -86 this repaint represents is a dash 40. The most distinguishable external diffenence is that the dash 40 had slatted wings and the dash 30 had the 6-3 hard wing. Model and Paintkit by MilViz. Repaint by Steve Bryant.

One other visable distinction to point out on this repaint is that the large side number "37" is different on each side and the gun charger panel access fasteners are different colors on each side. This is the way the actual aircarft appeared during the time for which it is depicted. Model and Paintkit by MilViz. Repaint by Steve Bryant.

and a little bird whispered... "Naval Weapons Test Center"... :eagerness:

:biggrin-new: Tell that lil' birdy it shall be done along with an XFJ-2B Fury (well almost) The only thing I can show on the 2B is the tail hook and the 20mm cannon opening. :triumphant:

I spoke to the little bird. He is impatient. However, he is willing to wait longer since you tease with that X-Fury!
