GKS MiG-21

Has anyone here bought the FS2020 version of the GKS MiG-21? I did yesterday when it went live on Simmarket. It's a nice model but the approach and landing speed is way too high. I cycled the BLC(Blown Flaps) switch but it sinks like a rock at or below 200 knots and recovery is almost impossible. I first thought that the new sim update might be at fault but seeing videos on Youtube, this seems to be the norm. Anyone have any knowledge on this?

When you say "anything below 200 knots"... are you sure these are knots and not km/h ?

We have here some of topic about AviaSimHD MiG-21bis:

About landing speed, its true. 21 needs a good speed for landing, it's Delta wing aircraft :), there is range between 270-300 km/h for landing configuartion, so 145-160 kt.

I am aware that the airspeed indicator is in km/h, I converted the airspeed over to knots. What I am seeing is that if I lower the landing flaps (full flaps), I am unable to maintain sufficient airspeed to keep it at 300 km/h no matter the power setting, the drag and sink rate climbs rapidly and the only way to recover (if high enough) is to cycle back to takeoff flaps and go into full burner. The actual MiG-21 has a afterburner inhibitor when the BLC is open on full flaps which has been well modeled on the DCS MiG-21. I am wondering if this has been implemented and if it is correctly tuned on this model? Also, I can't see any change in effect with the BLC switch up or down. I am wondering is SU10 broke some of the coding on this otherwise excellent model.

Update, I found one setting in the flight_model.cfg, flap_induced_drag_scalar =0.5//0.8. The original value is 0.8 but I reduced it to 0.5 and the high drag/sink rate issue cleared up. I think a bit more tuning can be done but at least now it is stable on the approach. One other note, the engine thrust was set to Static Thrust and no Afterburner available which was about 5000lbs short on thrust and max throttle. This along with the high flap drag setting could certainly account for the issue I was experiencing.
