Original aircraft by Brian Gladden, repainted by Bruce Long. Released December 15, 2004 as a tribute to famed American big band leader and US Army Air Corps Major Alton Glenn Miller (1904-1944). On this date, 60 years ago, Major Miller and two other AAF personnel boarded a Noorduyn Norseman at Twinwood Farms Airfield near Bedford, England. At 1:55pm local time, the plane bearing tail number 44-70285 lifted off into the heavy fog and was never seen again.
