Gloster Guardian reflective textures are in the library.

Finally I made some time to upload the reflective textures for Bill Holker's unfinished model of the Gloster F.4/34 Guardian prototype. The model can be found here on our library ( http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?action=jump&catid=205&id=8812 ). The real aircraft was most likely painted aluminum dope and not polished, but I thought a bit of gloss will not harm the sim.

The Gloster F.5/34 (Guardian) was a British fighter of the 1930s. It was a single-seat, single-engine monoplane of all-metal cantilever construction; the undercarriage was of the tailwheel type with retractable main wheels. The aircraft was developed for Air Ministry Specification F.5/34, a fighter armed with eight machine guns and an air-cooled engine that was well-suited to operations in the tropics. The Gloster design was overtaken by more capable competitors, like the Hurricane and Spitfire and the specification was later abandoned, with none of the aircraft designs produced for it selected for entry into service. Huub, thanks for the bare metal textures with additional detail. Interesting airplane, kinda looks like a Zero in the front and a Corsair in the back. :biggrin-new:
 
The tail is the one from a Blackburn Skua and the fuselage still has its Gloster shape (compare it with the Gladiator). The aircraft already had a teardrop canopy, which was quite ahead of its time.
Gloster's moment of fame still had to come with the allied's first operational jet fighter; the Meteor.

I always liked the model. Bill Holker made the source files available for anyone who wants to finish it.
