At least we had some good weather, even if it was a bit cold. Hope you enjoyed meeting everyone, and come out again soon. They enjoyed meeting you and having a DANG member there.

BTW.. nice pictures.

That L-39 is a pretty bird. I sat in a MIG 21 once at nellis, AFB. It was so tight and small I got claustrophobia. :costumes: I can still remember looking at the gauges with, which was to me, funny writing on them.

John, both of these now have English gauges in them, plus the Mig 23 too in the hangar. Tho the ejection seats in all 3, that includes the Mig-23, still have Russian on them. Seeing the 23 uses so much fuel it's only rarely flown. I believe it was mentioned when Chris was here, that the Flogger will fly sometime this summer.

Here's a link for some cool video links, in blue.... http://www.warbirdsofdelaware.com/html/mig-23.html

Curt Brown, former Space Shuttle Commander, wiil be here at KLIG to fly the L-39 this coming Thursday morning. He's also a jet pilot at the Reno Air Races. He won the 2008 race in an L-29 Viper with a speed of 507 mph.

Evidently Snuffy hasn't looked in the mirror lately. :costumes:

Let me use my favorite line from Braveheart when Stephen meets William ...

"HIM!! Tha can'ought be William Wallace, I'm prettier than this man!!" :jump:
:focus:

Hey Chris... we saw you guys out ridin around. And yes... we froze our butts off. That wind went right thru ya to the bone. I think I walk 5 miles today just to go inside and get warm. :costumes:

We had the head of the cancer group out this afternoon and gave his 2 sons a ride in the L-39. Their dad was high bidder in the raffle for the ride in Pipsqueak. And neither one got sick.... 18 and 16 years old.
