• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

Has anyone got

SteveB

Very odd jobs man and MiGaholic
A layered paintkit for the default DC 3. I need to paint up some SEA cammo schemes for my Virtual South Vietnamese Air Force.

Thanks

Steve

At simviation.com on the first page of the "Aircraft Textures Repaint Kits"

http://simviation.com/fs_paintkits1.htm

a whole set for most of the default FS2004 ACOF aircraft. More on the following pages. Alternately, from Simviation home page go to the "Design" page (menu on the left) then scroll down to "Repaint Kits".

Also try:

http://www.douglasdc3.com/fs2004/fs2004.htm

This is part of Trev Morson's DC-3 Hangar site. You have to scroll waaaay down the page there to get to the paint template links, they actually point to Mark Beaumont's DC-3 site at Swire Mariners.

http://www.swiremariners.com/dc3.html

And just for thoroughness, Trev Morson's DC-3 Hangar:

http://dc-3.home.comcast.net/~dc-3/

aka

http://douglasdc3.com/

Scan through the sizable index of links there, you'll find the FS2004 link above among them.

I do not recall if these are layered paintkits but hope they are of some use to you.

:wavey:

Thanks for that, but no layered kits, so looks like i'll have to do one myself.

Also to avoid disappointment later, bear in mind the default Dak is mirrored so you can't do nice serial numbers etc on the tail.
