• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

I've seen a lot of things thru the years at Oshkosh, but during my lunch yesterday, this one took the cake. 2 F-16's came in doing some passes with lot's of afterburner and such. Well, only the first one. The second plane was being flown a little timid. We kept saying "it must be his first time here".

Then they came in to land. The first guy lands great and goes by nice and slow heading up 36 towards the warbird area. Then the second guy comes in. I looked at my friends and said "He's going WAY to fast. Does he pull back up? Nope.
The following pictures tell the rest of the story.

Then to top that off, during the jet warbird show, the world's only flying FJ-4 Fury does the same thing!!!! Except with better results. He looked ok even though he went off too. After that, they weren't allowing any airshow acts to land on 36L. They could take off on 18R, but that was it.

What a day. Actually, what a past 4 days. Heading back down this morning too for the "Big" warbird show. Hopefully, there'll be less misshaps.
