'How Many Aircraft Carriers Can Fit In One Port In Seattle?'

Great photo.

For those of you not familar with the Pacific Northwest, Seattle only has Ferry Vessels, Cruise ships and Cargo Vessels. All the carriers are in Bremerton or Everett, WA., except if one comes in for the annual SeaFair Festival.

Photo is of the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton which is 19 miles across Puget Sound by Ferry Vessel. Much longer if you drive.

According to the Google map the mothballed carriers are from top to bottom or left to right (however you see it):

USS Independence
USS Kitty Hawk
USS Constellation
USS Ranger

The fifth one is likely either USS Stennis or USS Abraham Lincoln, depending on when the photo was taken.

The Indy....spent 4 months on her back in 73...Med cruise
Got an early out for school and flew from Rota to Jersey then to Miami and a Greyhound to Key West where my Wife was stationed....up for 30 hours!

Went to Google Earth to find the other three mothballed oil burner carriers. Here's the Saratoga (CV-60) at Newport RI, the Forrestal (CV-59) and John F. Kennedy (CV-67) at the Philadelphia Navy Yard. They've seen better days!
