I THOUGHT A TRAIN SET WAS THE BEST PRESENT EVER, BUT THIS TOPS THEM ALL. Lots of PATIENCE required to build this MODEL AIRPORT. Planes and other model components are ACTIVE and required a HUGE investment of time & $$$..

Watch at least long enough to see a take-off and landing and operating at night.

Still a treat to see it a 2nd time. What I'd like to view would be all the electronic wiring, transponders, transformers, servos, and mechanical devices used to create the illusion of a functioning large airport. Must be mind boggling.

Good afternoon,

I've been there! Wolfi took me to see it when I was in Germany last year. Here are my pics...

That was an awesome labor of love to build something that detailed and fully functioning....it appears that it uses some sort of sensor attached to the nose gear and under the ground service vehicles to receive signals from under the surface board to run the courses of action when active.Magnetic strips maybe? I would love to get a look at the mechanics of this also!:applause:
