Installing ATI drivers ?

Crusader

SOH-CM-2022
I uninstalled my current 10.8 ATI drivers to try out the newest 11.2's . They installed fine but went blank on me when trying to change views , so I tried to reinstall some older drivers(10.2 , 10.6's ?) . Went through the usual :ininstall , reboot , run driver Sweeper , reboot . Now the control panel installs but not the drivers . I know for a fact this has been an on going problem in the past with ATI drivers .I know , I should have left it alone but I got a big case of the dumb a-- ! I have used older drivers in the past but forgot how I finally got the drivers to install . I've been all over the net but nothing has worked yet .

Have not tried the latter 9 series to see if they install . MAY have to ditch ATI and go back to NVidia .

Card :ATI 4890 with Windows 7 64bit .

Anyone have a solution to getting the ATI drive to install ?

Need help ,
Rich:ernae::ernae:(have resorted to this in last few hours in frustration)
