Invisible AI propliners in sim

...Wanted to toss some ai propliners from calclassic into the modern jet mix, but the prop planes are invisible, I can only see their lites!
Deployed these utilities to see what was up:

--AIFP says the converted calclassic file is in FSX format,
--prop planes are in the same custom ai folder as visible ai jet traffic.
--MCX displays the mdls and liveries
--aircraft ground shadows unchecked
--Traffic SDK tool addon will take me to planes in sim,but theyre invisible.

I cannot guess which essential element is out of alignment here.
Any thoughts appreciated, thanks. :sheep:

DirectX 10 mode?

I doubt it. I run Calclassic AI just fine in DX10. The silvers are too hot, and the colours are faded, not perfect, but certainly visible.

EDIT: On reflection, I'm also running the Steve Fixer utility. I've been running it ever since I began running DX10, so maybe I might have had issues with DX10 but before the fixer.

Regardless, it's possible to run Calclassics AI in DX10.

Nevertheless, you could check that there are no 8 bit textures on your AI and convert them if there are.
8 bit textures will make any model or part of it invisible.

Hi all,
Thanks for your responses.
I am not running dx10 preview mode.
wonder if there is an 8 bit bmp finder/converter that works in silent batch mode?

Maybe I should simply be happy with my jets in FSX.:icon30:
