Hello,
I use Iris Mig 29 and beautiful Iguana paints in FSX!
However wishing to change the vc, (for that of the Mig 29 of FLYFREESTD) I found a P3D version made by IS4G Design!
but I see that it presents a problem at the level of the front axle and the rudders which go in the wrong direction compared to the rudder !! Visually it is not beautiful! More than one side (right) the control surfaces and the front gear have jolts !!!:banghead:
Is there an easy solution to apply to solve this problem?
Thank you for your opinions.

Alain

Sounds like whoever did the FSX conversion (with Model Converter X) didn't do any testing. (Or was made with an older version of the program) You have to rename the normal control surfaces to get them to work right. And sometimes in the conversion the rudder comes out backwards. Easy fix with the latest version of MCX.

for example, most of the time the ailerons come out with the name "r_aileron_percent_key" (or l_aileron depending on side) and this needs to be changed to r_aileron_key) same for Rudder and elevator. Tailhook needs changes to tailhook_percent_key Instead of tailhook and any parts turning the wrong way just need to have the animation reversed.

Tom Gibson has a great FS9 to FSX conversion tutorial over at Cal classic. With model converter X and some practice, many of our old FS9 favorites can be flying in FSX/P3D

When I load in ModelConverterX the file "mig_29_TP.mdl" (Iris Mig-29A native fsx exterior) I get this:

Unfortunately, I can't find (yet) a way to tweak the rudder/nose gear animation... And without the FSX SDK installed on my PC, I don't think I'll go very far anyway...

The file "mig_29k_exterior.mdl" (Mig-29K naval version) has no rudder bugs, but so far has much less repaints available... Like Alain, I wish somebody savvy enough with McX could help us!

Plan B: force Mig-29A repaints to fit the Mig-29K version... Can be done, it's fun, but not as satisfying...

Both mdl files are available here at IS4G Design Workshop.
Thanks to Corrado5834 and Edakridge for FSX/P3D native conversions and TacPack versions.
And thanks to L'Iguane for nice repaints...

Good evening Vonstroheim,

-Like you, I arrived at this display, but after I do not know how to find the animation of the nose gear and the rudders!
I do not know enough the English language to decipher all the menus and subtleties !!:banghead:
So if a good soul could devote itself to put these animations in the right order it will earn my gratitude!:biggrin-new:
Good evening to all

Hello Alain,

I have checked the IS4G Mig model with MCX.
I have changed the c_gear animation to "Rudder_pct_reversed_50"
and the rudder animation to "Rudder_pct_reversed_25"

That should work. ( so its works for me, at least )
