Java Killed My P3Dv2

Paul Domingue

SOH-CM-2023
I went to test a model in P3Dv2 and it crashed at startup with unusual screen flashes while it was trying to load. I reinstalled P3D and still crashed on startup. I thought it might be some software that I had recently installed so I started uninstalling one at the time and trying P3D. It kept crashing until I uninstalled the latest update of Java. As soon as that Java update was gone P3D was back to normal.

Is there any kind of relationship between P3Dv2 and Java?

Thanks Dumonceau, this makes sense with the screen flashes I was seeing. I think my Nvidia drivers are up to date but I'll check to make sure. If they are not I install them and test the Java update.
