'Jimmie Johnson Shines'...

Nice article. It must be great to be part of the Hendrick Motorsports group... well... except for Dale Jr., who I guess was seated somewhere near the exit door. Anyway, J.J. gets four championships in a row, something that will not be exceeded for quite a while unless J.J. wins again next season. Mark Martin has set a new record for runner up with his fifth 2nd place finish. And Jeff Gordon, who really seems to have struggled with team issues as well as back problems, rounded out the top three spots.

Hey All,

I think this year has been a huge wake up call for Jr. A ton of sheer bad luck and watching the Hendrick machine. I think he now sees firsthand how far the sport has moved beyond what his dad taught him and what a good ole Earnhardt and a first cousin can do. It ain't a good ole boy sport no more Jr. Next year we'll see how much and if he wants to - step it up.

No need to comment on Jimmie. :mixedsmi:
