I just uploaded these 3 paints. 2 are for the E-3 model and one is for the E-1.:d

Hope you like them:d

check the upload info. They are under CFS2 skins. At least when I click on to your thingy above. Not that I see the 109,s at all????

ROB.....could you make a NF version of these.....???
Messerschmitt Bf 109 E-4 (or E-3), W.Nr. unknown, G9+JV (G9+GV), 10./NJG 1, july – august 1941, Köln – Osthgeim base.

Outstanding!

RobH, I made standalones of these and I must tell you how great a painter you are. The colors are perfect, the weathering is detailed but not excessive just as the real aircraft would have been this stage in the war. Really helps with immersion not having factory fresh planes doing battle. You and Bravo4 are IMHO the masters and it's great to see you back in CFS3.:ernae:

I am a bit confused about the second texture file, named

DR_Bf109E-4_2.LG02_t.dds

in the Gruchatka and Knuppel skin folders (for the E3). Isn't it the name of the texture for the E4 model? Or is it misnamed and should be

DR_Bf109E-4_2.LG02_CPY_t.dds

....but then, doesn't have the e3 model its own cockpit texture, named

DR_Bf109E-3_JG_26z_Cpy_t.dds ??

:isadizzy:

Sorry for the delay, been busy with work and Thanksgiving.

Thank you folks, glad you like them:d

ronnybengt, Shouldn't be a problem, would you by any chance have a larger picture?

Thank you phrog_phixer, that was exactly my thoughts too about the weathering. I sure hope I can stick around this time. My old computer just kept crashing and it got to the point where it just wasn't worth the hassle. Now my new one does a awesome job with CFS3. I can run all the sliders on 5!:jump:

Oki, sorry so late for the reply. The E-3 model does use the DR_Bf109E-4_2.LG02_t.dds. If you open the MOS file in a hex editor, you will see that it calls for the canopy texture DR_Bf109E-4_2.LG02_t.dds. I don't know why it has the DR_Bf109E-3_JG_26z_Cpy_t.dds in the texture folder.:isadizzy:

If you haven't already found out, just place the two texture folders you downloaded into the Hires folder and you should be just fine:d

Ok, not a problem with the night fighter paint:d

I do however have a problem with my E-4 model. Mine is calling for the texture DR_Bf109E-4_2.LG02_t.dds as the main texture:isadizzy: This is of course the canopy frame, which makes for a interesting look, LOL.

Can someone please look at theirs and see if it does the same? I need to verify if mine is messed up, or if it was meant to be that way?

Thanks:ernae:

DR_Bf109E-4_2.LG02_t.dds

is the name of the main texture in my install........:costumes:

Thanks Oki! I was afraid of that. I guess we will have to do some hex editing to make it work right. I will include directions in the read me.
