I remember photographing Privateer Firebombers there back in the early nineties.....
Nice! do you happen to have those pics anymore? I flew out of Hemet Ryan in a Privateer after the airshow back in 2011 and we flew it back to Casa Grande, Az. It is the last flying PB4Y in the world and still making the rounds on the airshow circuit.

Best Apple Pie in all of SoCal I ever had. Only catch was that on occasion people were getting confused with glider traffic mixing in with powered GA. I guess I will have to get that addon just to relive the memories somehow.
Now if only someone finally made a PA32-301 😃

Also Reese's Peanut Butter Pie!

I do have them but they were on colour slide so stored somewhere in the house! Will look them out. There were Trackers there too but not sure if they were still radials or not.

Would love to see them. If it was the early 90's then there was only one S2T and that was from Marsh Aviation back then (Tanker 180) CDF was still operating the S2As.

Never did see a S2T at Hemet when I was visiting the airport. Only the radial engined ones. I don’t know the last time I did fly in from L67.
I left CA in 2013….but it probably was a few years before that.

Hemet Ryan received their (2) S2Ts in 2003. All S-2As were phased out maybe a few years later. Also, congrats on leaving CA haha

Oh wow…either I always missed the S2Ts or we really did not visit Hemet for a long time.
California wasn’t the problem. But I am not getting into politics here, though the inability of some people to simply discuss different opinions politely did have something todo with leaving CA and the US after 17 mostly good years.

It really does look fantastic! Last time I was there was probably a year or so ago now. I still like visiting the base anytime I'm back in CA. Too many memories to not head back there at least a couple times. More bonus time if there's a fire on and the tankers are scooting out of there.

The launch of the Scenery made me kick myself a couple times for good measure for making the decision to wait for 2024 to come out. But allegedly it is only around 3 months out for it to come. Hoping they don't give us all another hat trick and make it so this can't easy be available with compatibility in the new sim when that comes.

The moment I get my hands on MSFS2024 ill be testing compatibility with the KHMT scenery and also updating if necessary. Also, I'll interested to see what will be included with the "Fire Fighting missions" and if ill be able to incorporate any of that into the Air Attack Base to possibly give it some functionality...

That would be great if it all made it function as it would IRL. I'm also curious to see how all the Fire and other missions will work on it.

Hello tankerguy72,
Even if you are waiting for MSFS2024, can you confirm that your Tracker will also work with MSFS2020 once released?

Oh, wow, I didn't realize you were actually the creator of this airport, Tankerguy72! I guess that makes sense! :)

Definitely will have to pick this up, then!

Any chance it's coming to Contrail? Or Simmarket only?
