Lockheed L-1649A Starliner, Version 2.0

Hi, Bob!

It's that simple:
Inside your Connie folder, you have at least the four folders
- model
- panel
- sound
- texture.

Put the unzipped sound files ("*.wav") and the "sound.cfg" file into the sound folder, overwriting the existing sound.cfg (which by default installation should point to the default DC-3 sounds).

The other way (if you want to keep the default sound or compare different sound sets) is to create a folder called "sound.1" and extract the new sound files there. Open your aircraft.cfg and change the line
"sound="
into
"sound=1".

Listen and enjoy.
That's it.

Cheers,
Markus.

Cargo haulin' time!

Hi, guys!

Tired of snobbish first class paxes?
This one is for you:

Repaint for the L.1649A Starliner (V 2.1 or 2.2), depicting the LUFTHANSA operated D-ALUB. Delivered in 1957 as a interim long-range solution prior to the Boeing 707, she was converted into a freighter in 1960 and served cargo-duties for LUFTHANSA until 1965.

Up at AVSIM soon.
Look for starliner_dalub.zip.

Cheers,
Markus.

Nice repaint, I found a few others on Avsim also. It is nice to see the continuned interest in the Connie. I flew in her for a few years as an electronics tech in two squadrons and loved flying. The drone of those engines at cruise would put you to sleep if you weren't careful

Thanks!

But it seems the AVSIM file server is down again.
Fired the file up about 3 hrs. ago without any problem, but file library is inaccessible now...

So please be patient! :wave:

Regards,
Markus.

Up she goes!

AVSIM seems to be back on track.
And about 244 Cargo Connies are already delivered :wiggle:.

A big thank you! to Manfred, Hansi and the rest of the team for providing this challenging grace of the skies! :applause:

"Three engines will do..."

Cheers,
Markus.
