I am using the fact that i had to reinstall the FS2004 sim, so i decided to convert the sim to the Golden Era, I have all the planes i need for commercail aviation, but now I am needing the Genearal Aviation planes and Military planes from the peried. I Have plenty of CFS2 aircraft but I would also like some for FS2004. Can you guys provide a download list and where i can find the GA aircraft from that time frame?

Thanks

Milton Shupe (et al) Spartan Executive - my personal fave in this category.

Lyons' Grumman Goose (stretching the category a bit). The repaint pack containing a bare metal "Laurentian" paint is spectacular, especially if you have a good envmap for good quality metal shine.

Aeroplane Heaven Tiger Moth - amazing

Lionheart's Cessnas, Bellanca's etc. are all good.

Just a few - I'm sure others who are far better purveyors of this category than me will pipe in shortly ....

David Eckharts Stearmans, Piglets WACO, anything from Bill Lyons and Jens B. Kristensen has some very eclectic subjects .......... a search by 'aircraft name' at the two major sites will yield plenty of goodies.

I have great fun with the Lockheed L-10 Electra by "FS-Design Berlin", filename "l104nwa.zip" here: "http://www.surclaro.com/download.php?query=FS-Design+Berlin&op=search&cid=30"

When converting them to AI, I recommend using an aircraft that doesn't have a VC if possible. Milton has a bunch with a no-VC version that are easy conversions. I used his Howard 500s to replace the default Learjets.

Simviation.com. FS2004 Vintage section. Tons of planes from the Golden Age of Aviation. The downloads are slow, but it will give you an idea of what is out there..then you can grab them from faster sites.

As others have already stated: Anything by Bill Lyons is worth having, Lionheart did some amazing Cessna A Executive series and Fairchild F-24 series. NCGent has a number of free classic planes that are well worth downloading and installing. Jens B. Kristensen has produced a plethera (I love that word) of wonderful classic GA and Commercil planes. Piglet's Waco is top drawer all the way. HIt CalClassics and ClassicBritishFiles (something like that)...both sites are loaded with classic planes. The Old Hanger is dedicated to classic Golden Age planes and scenery.
