Making static scenery objects

Members +
Haven't posted here in some time. But, can anyone tell me how to convert a flyable (or driveable) model, into a static scenery object, and then place it in any scenery area? Or is it even possible??? I want to retain the operating model, and place static duplicates as scenery enhancements.
Please reply if possible.
Thanks :help: Blinky

Brents on it.

Create a traffic file, have only what you want in it assigned, parking spots included, then set them up to fly when you are never flying, like late on a monday night, (I usually fly sometimes late on Sunday nights, so that didnt work for me).

With making AI traffic BGL's, you need a plane to fly once a week. It will also need to have a parking spot, and sometimes you can force a plane to a special spot, like a military to a military ramp, etc. I am not sure how that is dont, but if you use a plane in your sim, you can set it as a military or cargo or other such setting for ramp purposes, then place ramps in place at airports via AFCAD.

This is for 'specials' though. Dont know if you need to go to that extreme.

Thank you for the explanation about the problems making statics in FS9.
I believe I can make good use of this tutorial? It seems pretty straight forward.
Thanks again Blinky
