I had to share this picture here, as posted on Facebook.
Currently at MeierMotors in Germany, they have four separate Bf-109 projects all underway to fly - a Bf-109G-4, a Bf-109G-6, a Spanish-built 109 being converted to a Bf-109G-12, and a Bf-109E-1 (Spanish Civil War vet). The G-4 is being restored to airworthy for the Fighter Factory/Military Aviation Museum (Jerry Yagen), complete with a DB605 engine. The G-6 restoration to airworthy is being finished for the Air Fighter Academy museum, located in Germany, and it too will be powered by a DB605. The Hispano Buchon, also owned by the Air Fighter Academy, will be modified into a reproduction of one of the rare Bf-109G-12 two-seat trainer variants, also to be powered by a DB605. The E-model, being restored (but mainly new-built from patterns of original parts/drawings) for Robs Lamplough, is a very early variant (E-1) with the early curved-framed canopy, and will also be powered by a correct DB601 engine when completed.
This is the picture I had to post here, showing three of these projects side-by-side. The one in the background is the Buchon (formerly owned by Harold Kindsvater of the U.S.) which will be modified into a two-seat Bf-109G-12. The one in the middle is the G-4 being restored for Jerry Yagen, and the one in the foreground is the G-6.

Here is a superb gallery of images of the G-6 that is nearing completion to fly: http://www.meiermotors.com/en/component/joomgallery/messerschmitt-bf109-g-6-hangar10-first-look.html
And another page of photos showing the progress over time on Jerry Yagen's G-4: http://www.meiermotors.com/en/aircr...9/130-messerschmitt-bf109-g2-4.html?showall=1
And the Bf-109E-1: http://www.meiermotors.com/en/aircr...09/147-messerschmitt-bf109-e-1.html?showall=1
