Milviz F-86 "Elsie" - Repaint for the Milviz F-86

This folder contains a repaint for the Milviz F-86, in the colors of #51-2762 "Elsie", the aircraft of Colonel Clay L.Tice Jr, who flew with the 16th FIS/ 51st FIW. It show how the aircraft looked in late 1951, still devoid of tail markings.

Col. Tice flew P-38's with the 49th FG during WW2, and made a landing on a Japanese airfield to refuel one of his squadron's aircraft on 25 August 1945, probably making him the first American soldier to set foot on mainland Japan. More on that story...
