Monaco F1 GP

He's done it again!
Verstappen is set to start the race from last position after damaging his car in the final minutes of the third practice session. It’s the latest in a series of errors and collisions which have blighted the Red Bull driver’s season.
'Rickydoo' dominated the entire practice and qualifying sessions (only driver to get down to 1:10), while his 'Team Mate' broke his car (again!) in practice 3 which meant a new gearbox was needed but couldn't be fitted in time.
So he starts from the back and has a 5 place penalty for the next round........:banghead:
Horner is not amused AT ALL.

[h=3]Max thinks he's only had 2 'incidents this year, the listing below totals 6, and some wag added the last two races of 2017 on to this list to give him a total 8 in a row. :biggrin-new:

So he's had a 10 slot grid penalty award for the next round for changing the MGU-K (or whatever!) and I'm hoping they add his 5 slot penalty for the Monaco gearbox change onto this as well............:biggrin-new:
'To finish first, first you must finish', Horner should have Verstappen Junior writing that out 100 times (a day) on a white board.

One thing I will say is that I can't stand the Sky Sports/NBC Sports coverage.
The announcers talk waaaaaaay too much and we always miss a lot of podium coverage....

Can’t go wrong with the old crew. David Hobbs was a hoot.

the race itself...boring. A beautiful local but not many places to pass.

"Boring" the single most frequent word used in association with F1 reviews it seems. I managed to catch a show on tvcatchup.com which consisted of various previous era race cars at Monaco actually racing each other. Now that was not boring. Not a procession. Time to put the driver back in the modern car and not so much with the technology.

Alan Jones summed Monaco up best, words to the effect of:"If you went to the FIA with a submission for a GP circuit with the Monaco layout and length, but flat and in an everyday location, they (the FIA) would laugh you out the door".
Monaco has IMHO been irrelevant for F1 cars for at least 40 years, but as usual, Russian Mafia money laundering through the Casino talks.
