Montoya going back to Indycar

The I guess he is not going to the Front Row Furniture team. Perhaps Jeff Burton will drive the Front Row car.

This is really peculiar to me in that knowing who Penske could have had & also the folks that he has somewhat passed up on.
Interesting indeed...

Perhaps Penske left the NASCAR option open to Juan (a la' Hornish Jr.?) to which that's something Ganassi didn't do.

Hey All,

Sometimes a driver just knows when he ain't good or skilled enough for the premier racing series on planet earth. :mixedsmi:

In all honesty I do wish him well and he is good enough as a driver to have won one race on an oval - I would like to have seen it happen even though I wouldn't have publicly liked it. I put it up to the fundamental ability of both the driver and CC to communicate what the car is doing and know how to fix it. Open wheelers just are not there as all they do is drive.

EasyEd,
I still say it's not all Montoya's fault. If you look at the history of that team since Sabates days, they've been average at best. This is why I'm worried about Kyle Larson. The kid has talent and I'm afraid that the team might not be up to Kyle's talent. We've already seen what Jamie Mac can do & I think that if Jamie Mac was on a different team like Hendrick for example, his lifetime results would be better.

Edit:

- Montoya is the only Ganassi driver to have ever made "The Chase"
- I'd love to see Johanna Long in the Furniture Row car but I also feel she needs an experienced team mate.

yeah i agree with panther here,i feel Kyle Larson made a mistake,,he should have held out and not signed so fast with Gannasi, waited for another team, but who knows..maybe Kyle can rally the crew into practicing more or motivate them into working harder for him?..

Good point Dave.
Perhaps Ganassi organization is somewhat stagnant with Jamie Mac & Montoya - and therefore they need a motivational boost.

I needed a good laugh!!
Having just returned from the IOM TT races, along with tripping off to Catalunya for the Spanish MotoGP and Assen for the Dutch TT, NASCAR is far from being "the premier racing series on planet earth".
Taxi Cab Racing.
