    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Motorcycles on banked oval tracks.

I was thinking about the bigger US banked oval tracks they use for Nascar racing and wondered whether motorcycles have ever been raced on these tracks ?? couldn't find much about it.
 
Not sure how the bikes run (or if they run) at Daytona these days but Barry Sheene had his infamous accident way back when he smashed his legs so badly that those lengthy steel pins were inserted into the bones......lengthwise!!!
I still get a crawling feeling when I see film of the surgeons belting them into place with a hammer!!!!
The Daytona 200 used to be a big race not that long ago, come to think of it the people who build the modern 'Vincent' won (IIRC) at Daytona a couple of years ago.
