Multi sub-oject textures...

Hi guys, I've been taking a couple of days to work on textures, and I think I have the Multi-Subobject textures worked out. It seems like basically it's a case of set up the material ids, mesh select, select the polys, assign the id's, do a UVW map and orient the textures then rinse, lather and repeat, correct? I am ending up with about a dozen maps of just the fuselage though and I am wondering when is too many maps?

Can I do a UVW Unwrap for the larger areas (in this case the flames on the wings and the numbers), then do an Edit Mesh, and the UVW maps for the smaller things like the logos? It seems like it should work, but I don't want to spend all day making a map for the Unwrap if it won't.

Thanks,

daycab
