378. 18ft. The column is 151ft, given a total height of 169ft.
 
Just a stab here #373 A Sailor who leads singing or a walk way. I always thought a shanty was a shed towed onto the ice were i drill a hole and go fishing and drinking while i freeze my arse off lol. Is a great ? although and interesting term.
 
Without looking it up, always thought a bumboat was a slightly disreputable small boat used by natives of a port to peddle supplies to naval ships.

However, 'Admiral' has many derivations - Wikipedia it and you will see !

Big guns ? 18" ? Some of the monitors had big bangers, so did Rodney & Nelson I think (saw them being broken up)

Not quite sure what you mean, sir. Didn't Rodney & Nelson see WW2 service ??? Think there were monitors involved in D-Day ?

Yes sir, they did, and by this time the monitors were mounting 15 inch guns.
