About a month ago I was injured at work. (Blew out my knee)
However since I have an (undocumented) history of bad knees. My employer's Workman's Compensation carrier refused to cover it. Calling it an "existing" condition and not work related.
This has put me out of work. I flag traffic for utility and road construction and standing for 8+ hours can not be done by me at this time.
I've been trying to line up some form of temporary disability but it takes time. And the bills are piling up
Since I've been out of work over a month even my regular medical insurance has been suspended.
As I'm in a rural area with virtually no public transportation (company took back my work truck) finding transportation to medical appointments (If I can ever line up an orthopedist that has available appointments before September) Things are a bit hard right now.
I swallowed my pride and set up a a go fund me page and I have had quite a few donations come in. Those at least have kept a roof over me and food in the pantry.
If anyone could help out a fellow simmer I'd appreciate it. Kinda hard to go from working 40+ hours a week making over $20 an hour to zero. At least I have plenty of time to fly in the sim.
I didn't set it up as a link but below is the address for the Gofundme
https://gofund.me/2ddd040c
Thank you sincerely in Advance,
