• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

Need Help with FS9

Hello,Ladies and Gentlemen.
I have a problem with FS9,and I need your help, I have uninstalled and re installed FS9,and still have the same problem, which is when I start FS9
it starts with the default Cessna 172,i put the Cessna in the Hanger and that really messed it up,so I moved it back.
So,If anyone has any suggestions Please Help.

If your problem is as I think it is, your default flight requires the default cessna... save a new flight using a different aircraft and make that flight your default flight, and you can safely remove the cessna...

If you mean that you took the default 172 out of the sim,...
This plane MUST stay in the sim. You can delete any of the other default planes and still run the sim. But the 172 has to stay put.

Fs9

I really did not want to take the Cessna out,I thought if I did it may solve my problem.
When I start FS9 it goes to the Cessna,and starts on the runway
and by passes the normal start,where I can select an aircraft,or change settings.
I also tried another aircraft and made it the default,But that did not work.

is it running in 'demo' mode maybe?

find the fs9.cfg file and check the following section where it says 'STARTUP'
entries in red are my notes.

Ladies and Gents
Thanks to everyone for the help,Motormouse had the answer
and everything works fine now,I do not know how these misterious problems occur in these programs,i have been flying since flight sim 98
came out and this was my first real problem.
Spmeone asked was this a friendly forum,and i would like to say YES
I have been reading the forums almost everyday since i joined and this is the friendliest and most helpful group of people In any forum on the web.
I have learned more about Flight simming from You, just reading this forum
than anywhere else on the web and have found more Great aircraft to down load.
